Roach double sees off Pellingford at The Hollow
Danny Roach scored either side of the hour as Town beat Pellingford Athletic 3–1 in front of 512 at The Hollow — the biggest league gate here for two seasons, and a fair reward for a side that had to be patient for half an hour.
Wes Kilbride made two changes from the midweek trip to Marsden Vale, with Kaide Fletcher restored to the right and Solomon Adeyemi partnering Roach up top. It took twenty-eight minutes to break through: Fletcher’s corner was only half cleared and Roach turned it in from six yards. Pellingford levelled almost immediately against the run of play, but the visitors were second best for most of the second half. Roach’s low finish on 63 settled the nerves and Ellis Bramwell headed a third from another Fletcher delivery two minutes from time.
Ashcombe Rovers are next up at The Hollow, 3pm kick-off, with the clubhouse open from 1pm and a pie and a pint for £6.50. Admission is £8 adults, £5 concessions, under-16s free with a paying adult. If you can spare an hour before kick-off, the turnstile rota still has gaps — have a word with Marion in the office.
